Giving Back…And Forward

On Thursday, January 29, President and Winemaker, Eric Hickey, presented donations to local charities, The Family Care Network and Woods Humane Society, from the proceeds of our 2012 NADIA Quattro red blend. “As a sustainable vineyard and winery, we are always looking for ways to contribute to the sustainability of our community,” says Hickey, “We’ve made many donations and contributions in the past, but are very excited to give proactively through this new bottling.”

IMG_7192eWe have also just announced next year’s beneficiaries of the 2013 NADIA Quattro as the San Luis Obispo County chapters of Habitat For Humanity and Special Olympics. “With the selected charities rotating each vintage, we are eager to touch a wide range of local non-profits,” said Hickey.

Named for the four varieties that make up its composition – Tempranillo from the Laetitia estate, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Petite Sirah from the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard – NADIA Quattro is an annual special edition wine crafted by Hickey and available only through our tasting room, web site (www.laetitiawine.com/about/nadia-quattro.php) and wine club. Just 740 cases are made each vintage, with one dollar per bottle going to two charities each year.

Special Olympics Regional Director Jody Watty, shared, “Special Olympics San Luis Obispo County isIMG_7196as excited to be a beneficiary of 2013 NADIA Quattro! The proceeds from this donation will support local children and adults with intellectual disabilities as they train and compete in the sports they love so much. NADIA Quattro is a gold medal winner to SLO County athletes!”

Laetitia-NadiaQuattro-X2SM“We are deeply appreciative to have been selected as one of the recipients of the 2013 NADIA Quattro wine,” said Julia K. Ogden, Chief Executive Officer for Habitat for Humanity for SLO County. “As a Habitat partner, Laetitia will bring hope to low-income families by helping to provide them with safe, secure, and healthy housing. The funds will be used to repair and maintain homes owned by our community’s low-income seniors so that they can age in their homes safely and securely. We are deeply grateful to have been selected as a recipient and look forward to partnering with Laetitia as we work to make a difference, one house at a time.”

The 2013 NADIA Quattro is due out in June of this year, keep an eye out for it and help us give back to these deserving local charities!
