September 2026 Meet Some People Behind the Pour
We spend a lot of time talking about vines, Brix numbers, and what's happening in the cellar. This time we wanted to talk about some of the people in and behind the tasting room instead. The ones showing you a great time, the ones on the phone with club members, the ones whose job it is to make everyone happy!
So we sent a short, slightly ridiculous survey to five members of our team. Here's what we learned.

Kasey, Director of Sales and DTC Operations.
What are you doing right now?
Eating lunch.
What brought you to Laetitia?
I’ve been in the area since 1999, so I've known about Laetitia for a long, long time. What brought me here was the excitement of a new challenge.
Favorite restaurant, and what do you order?
Korbel at Bleu - the carpaccio.
Furthest you've ever traveled from home?
Thailand, in 2005.
Favorite beverage that isn't wine?
Sprite.
Any pets?
Frankie, a three-year-old golden retriever/border collie mix. Plus my two teenage boys.

First job ever?
Keeping score for my dad's volleyball league. My first real job was a soda jerk at an ice cream parlor and pharmacy.

Heather, tasting staff.
What are you doing right now?
Waiting patiently for tasters to show up.
What brought you to Laetitia?
My grandma has been pouring Laetitia wine since well before I could legally enjoy it. And I love the views, the wine, and the people.
Favorite restaurant, and what do you order?
Burrito Loco in Arroyo Grande - two fish tacos, side of rice.
Furthest you've ever traveled from home?
Colorado.
Favorite beverage that isn't wine?
Shirley Temple.
Any pets?
Two dogs, Gertrude and Ferguson, terrier mixes, both eleven.

First job ever?
Funeral home - not as fun as Laetitia.

Laura, Tasting Staff and Direct Sales.
What are you doing right now?
Taking out the trash and picking some beautiful flowers.
What brought you to Laetitia?
The environment here, the people, all wonderful. I was a customer and just loved it here - and I still do.
Favorite restaurant, and what do you order?
Mason Bar - brussels sprouts and carnitas tacos. With a bottle of Laetitia, obviously.
Furthest you've ever traveled from home?
South Africa in 2023, with my close friend.
Favorite beverage that isn't wine?
Whiskey - specifically a Manhattan.
Any pets?
A toy poodle named Beanie and two Maine Coon cats, Fendi and Valentino, 22 pounds and 12 pounds.

First job ever?
Foster's Freeze.

Sage, Tasting Room Lead.
What are you doing right now?
Washing our new glasses, organizing the space - my typical Monday morning stuff.
What brought you to Laetitia?
My friend was a busser here and I was bussing tables in Avila. I simply wanted to work closer to home. That was about five years ago now.
Favorite restaurant, and what do you order?
Las Casuelas in Nipomo. The #4 combo - two beef tacos, rice and beans. With a Cadillac margarita.
Furthest you've ever traveled from home?
Des Moines, Iowa.
Favorite beverage that isn't wine?
Coffee, of course.
Any pets?
A cat named Chiku.
First job ever?
Busser at Fat Cat's in Avila Beach.
Riley, Wine Club Coordinator.
What are you doing right now?
Fixing a customer's order.
What brought you to Laetitia?
My family. My grandfather was the winemaker before my dad became winemaker. My mother, grandmother, both uncles, sister, and several distant relations have been part of Laetitia.
Favorite restaurant, and what do you order?
Giuseppe's - California pizza.
Furthest you've ever traveled from home?
Hawaii.
Favorite beverage that isn't wine?
Root beer.
Any pets?
Marty, a Siamese boy. And Ollie, a tabby girl.

First job ever?
Working here - my role was "hospitality associate." The job was helping with anything but pouring wine. I was 15.
So there you have it: a Manhattan drinker, a Shirley Temple fan, a fourth-generation Laetitia family member, and a lot of very good pets, all working together to get a glass of wine into your hand. Next time you're in the tasting room, you'll know who you're talking to and more about those making it all happen!
Cheers to great wine and great people!
